实验内容与伦理事宜 Experiment content and ethical considerations

您参与的实验均已通过伦理审查。在您开始实验之前，您将会被提供一份知情同意书，其中将详细介绍具体实验内容，实验时长以及实验报酬等相关信息。在您给予同意并签署之后，才会开始实验。如有任何问题，请咨询具体实验负责人。

All of our experiments have passed ethical review. Before the experiment, you will be given a consent form which details the experimental procedure, length, participant fee and more. We will only begin the experiment after you have read, understood and signed the consent form. If you have any questions, please contact the experimenter.

实验仪器 Experimental equipment

根据不同实验的要求，您可能在实验过程及睡眠过程中被要求佩戴以下仪器。

According to the specific experiment, you may be required to use different types of equipment. Please check the recruitment flyer/poster for more details.

脑电图（EEG）相关内容 EEG information

在实验过程以及/或者在睡眠过程中，根据具体实验的不同要求，我们可能使用脑电仪来记录您的脑电波。我们会给您在测量部位涂抹磨砂膏，并让您戴上一个特制的帽子。我们会通过帽子固定电极，其中磨砂膏这一胶状物是用于连接您的头皮与电极，从而记录您的大脑活动。脑电没有任何已知的危险。不方便的地方可能是胶状物会沾在您的头皮上。所以在您离开实验室前，您可以在实验室清洗后再离开（实验室提供卫浴环境以及一次性毛巾等物品）。
During the experimental process and/or sleep session, depending on the specific requirements of the experiment, we may use an electroencephalograph (EEG) to record your brainwave activity. We will apply an abrasive paste to the measurement areas and have you wear a specialized cap The electrodes are secured to the cap, and the paste, a gel-like substance, is used to connect your scalp to the electrodes to record your brain activity. EEG poses no known risks. A potential inconvenience is that the gel may adhere to your scalp. Therefore, before you leave the laboratory, you are welcome to wash it off in the lab (the laboratory is equipped with bathing facilities and provides disposable towels and other amenities).

Inside the lab, we have prepared:

• 床上用品：保证一位实验者进行一次更换。Bedsheets, blankets and pillows: Washed and disinfected between each participant.
• 浴室内提供沐浴露、洗发水及毛巾。到达实验室后，您需要在实验室洗头发。请勿使用护发素。这是为了减少头皮因为油脂等所造成的电阻，并提高实验所记录到的脑电信号质量。Shower, shampoo and towels: After arriving in the lab, you will need to wash your hair. Please use shampoo, but not conditioner. This is to prevent the oil from dry/dead scalp skin from interfering with our EEG recording, and increase the quality of our data.
• 我们还会提供一次性拖鞋以及防静电睡衣，保证您做睡眠实验时的舒适性和便捷性。We will also provide disposable slippers and anti-static sleepwear to ensure your comfort and convenience during the sleep experiment.

实验前您需要做的准备：Things to prepare before coming to the experiment

• 实验当天避免化妆。Please do not wear makeup on the day of the experiment.
• 实验当天避免佩戴隐形眼镜。如果您近视，请佩戴框架眼镜。Please do not wear contact lenses on the day of the experiment, and wear glasses instead.
• 请避免空腹来做实验。Please try not to come to the lab on an empty stomach.

您无需特别准备什么物品，但您可以携带以下物品以供您自己更好的入睡：
Below are some optional items you may wish to bring to the lab:

• 牙刷与牙膏。因为卫生问题，我们不会提供牙刷与牙膏。Toothbrush and toothpaste: Due to hygiene reasons, we will not provide these.
• 浴巾。我们会给您提供毛巾，但如果您需要的话，您可以携带自己的毛巾。Towels: We will provide clean towels in the lab, but you may bring your own.
• 其他对于您来说必要的洗漱用品。Other items necessary for your nightly routine.
• 其他能够帮助您睡得更好的东西。Other items necessary for a good night’s sleep.

实验室地点：上海市闵行区剑川路895号淡水河畔科技园17号楼3楼睡眠实验室

Laboratory Location: Sleep Laboratory, 3rd Floor, Building 17, Danshui Riverfront Technology Park, No. 895 Jianchuan Road, Minhang District, Shanghai.

如何前往睡眠实验室？How do I get to the Sleep Lab?

如果您需要乘坐公共交通，可以乘坐上海地铁5号线到达剑川路站，出站后向东直线步行1公里或者乘坐891路、闵吴线到达剑川路沧源路站抵达淡水河畔科创园大门。本实验室位于淡水河畔科创园17号楼上海交通大学溥渊未来技术学院3楼，到达后您可在会客厅小憩。

If you need to take public transportation, you can take Shanghai Metro Line 5 to Jianchuan Road Station. After exiting the station, walk 1 kilometer straight east or take Bus 891 or Minwu Line to Jianchuan Road Cangyuan Road Station to reach the entrance of Danshui Riverfront Innovation Park. Our laboratory is located on the 3rd floor of Building 17 at Shanghai Jiao Tong University’s Global Institute of Future Technology Institute within Danshui Riverfront Innovation Park. Upon arrival, you may rest in the reception area.
